Nanostructured Optical Interference Filters for Laser Safety

Derived from metaAIR™, our patent-pending laser protection filters for aircraft, we are developing optically transparent films specifically designed to protect law enforcement ground personnel, military personnel, helicopter pilots, air traffic control tower operators, etc. from laser attacks.

The films consist of multiple coatings of specially designed nano-structured materials that can be applied to the surface of protective eyewear, visors, goggles, and shields. Simultaneously blocking multiple wavelengths of light, the filter is passive requiring no power source or user intervention.

The film is very thin and light and delivers high levels of protection from the harmful light of lasers, while allowing the rest of the visible spectrum to pass through. The result is you get the protection you want for your eyes, without losing the visual acuity essential to operate effectively at night.
