Nanostructured Optical Interference Filters for Laser Safety
Inspired from the patent-pending laser protection filters for aviation, we are developing optically transparent films specifically designed for the protection of Law Enforcement ground personnel, Military personnel, ALE pilots, ATC tower operators etc. from laser attacks.
The films consist of multiple coatings of specially designed nano-structured materials that are adhesively applied onto existing helmet and visor assemblies, providing a universal solution to the problem of laser attacks on individuals. Simultaneously blocking multiple wavelengths of light, the filter is passive requiring no power source or user intervention.
The films can also be adhesively applied on any type of eyewear or transparent substrate, flat or curved. The eyewear product line is launching in Q1 2015 and the visor/helmet product line is going through product certification and will be launching in Q2 2015.
